Thank you, God, that Jesus came and died for me
Thank you, Christ, that you saved my life on Calvary.
You offer me a gift and say, “For you I have reserved this.”
Who am I to say that I could ever deserve it?
My life was sinful, impure, and black,
Thank you, God, that you brought me back!
Thank you, Lord, that you make the lame to walk and me to see,
Without that sight where would I be?
Thank you, God, that I see the light.
Thank you, Christ, that I know what’s right.
This prayer of thanks and praise I give,
Because Jesus died that I might live.
