What would Jesus do if He were in the world today?
Might He help an old man walk, or with a child play?
Might He walk along and listen to robins sing,
Or maybe he would watch with pride as a little chick takes wing?
Might He smile with joy as He watches a child’s first walk,
Or maybe He would listen close as a little baby talks?
If this happened, I’d certainly like to see Him,
And if I did I’d never, ever leave Him.
I wouldn’t be the only child, though,
There’d be others, about a dozen or so.
We’d gather around,
On rocks or the ground.
He’d tell us things important and grand,
About how the world was like a grain of sand.
No one knows what it would be like if he came down from above,
But I do know that all would feel his love.
