She was like a light to the world
To all she was a beacon of grace
To all she would let her love unfurl
The love of God was seen on her face
Yet tears ran from her once warm eyes
Her child like innocence crushed by hate
Her mind unable sift through the truth and lies
The heart of a child razed by this weight
The tears from her face fell to another
All things good were stolen from her
Her life ended with the death of her mother
She lost love when she lost her lover
Religious icons shattered around the child
Angels wept as she turned from heaven
Everything she once knew was now defiled
She hated her God from the age of eleven.
Now an empty life she was to live
Now the child filled herself with hate
The child accepted her lifeless fate
For she turned her face from love
